HILLCREST CENTER FOR THE ARTS |
Situated on the Hill overlooking The Oaks Mall and the beautiful
city beyond, the Hillcrest Center for the Arts is an epicenter of
arts activity in the Conejo Valley. The Hillcrest Center for the
Arts is staffed by the
Conejo Recreation and
Park District, owned by the
City of
Thousand Oaks, and houses the
Arts Council of
the Conejo Valley - it is truly the intersection of Community
and Art!
The Hillcrest Center for
the Arts is proud to function as the Conejo Valley's connection to
professional and quality community theatre, performing and fine arts
classes for youth and adults, and music and dance performances of
all kinds.

Theatre on the
Hill The Theatre
on the Hill is a beautiful Black Box Theatre
with flexible seating
that can be configured into proscenium, three-quarter thrust, or
theatre in the round. The theatre seats up to 147 audience members
(seating varies depending on the configuration). The theatre has all the
modern technical amenities including a computerized lighting and sound
booth. The Theatre on the
Hill hosts theatrical, musical, dance, and other kinds of performance
events throughout the year and can be rented for events as scheduling permits.

Large
Rehearsal Room
The Large Rehearsal Room is a gorgeous,
large mirrored room with a full wall of windows over-looking
Thousand Oaks, a sprung-wood floor, and two more walls of
mirrors perfect for dance and movement rehearsals, yoga and
martial arts classes, and all kinds of events. The Large
Rehearsal Room is used several months of the year as the
rehearsal space for
Cabrillo Music Theatre and houses numerous CRPD classes
and activities. The Large Rehearsal Room can be rented for
events as scheduling permits.

Small
Rehearsal Room
The Small Rehearsal Room is a beautiful,
intimate space with two full walls of mirrors perfect
for dance and movement classes, art classes, and theatre
rehearsals. The Small Rehearsal Room is used regularly by
several community arts groups and houses numerous CRPD
classes and activities. The Small Rehearsal Room can be
rented for events as scheduling permits.

Community
Room
The Community Room is a spacious, large
carpeted room with a wall of windows leading to a lovely
patio area and fountain. The Community Room is the home of
the Conejo Recreation and Park District Board of Directors,
and houses a whole host of community events, classes, and
camps. The Community Room is equipped with event tables and
chairs, making it the perfect location for receptions and
parties. The Community Room can be rented for events as
scheduling permits.

Hillcrest
Center Galleria
The Hillcrest Center Galleria is curated
by the Arts Council of the Conejo Valley and displays
numerous exhibits of local visual artists each year. Visit
the Hillcrest Center for the Arts regularly and stroll
through the hallway gallery to experience the depth and
breadth of the Conejo Valley's astounding artistic
community.
